➤What topics are included in this unit?

  • History and Organization of the Modern Periodic Table
  • Periodic Trends (atomic radius, electronegativity, electron affinity, ionization energy)
  • Ionic Bonding & Properties of Ionic Compounds
  • Naming Ionic Compounds (with polyatomic ions and transition metals)
  • Covalent Bonding & Properties of Covalent Compounds (polarity covered in next unit)
  • Naming of Covalent Compounds
  • Naming of Acids (addressed in more detail in Unit 10- Solutions)

The unit is aligned to NGSS practices and many state standards. If you’d like to know whether your state standards are covered, you can send me an email at su*****@*************ce.com.
