Description
Want your students to have better note-taking skills? These guided notes are a great training tool for your Chemistry students. They’re ready to print, or you can edit them to add or delete content, allowing for differentiation to any ability level. The PowerPoint and Cornell notes provided in this resource include topics such as molecular bonding, molecular geometry and VSEPR, polarity, and intermolecular forces.
NOTE: These resources are also included in my Full-Year Chemistry Curriculum.
What’s included:
- 42 EDITABLE PowerPoint slides (colorful and fully animated)
- 6 EDITABLE Cornell Notes pages (fill-in-the-blank and completed versions)
Each notepage perfectly corresponds to the PowerPoint to make note-taking a breeze!
Topics addressed: metallic bonding, diatomic molecules, bond length and energy in multiple covalent bonds, modeling of molecules, resonance structures, VSEPR theory, molecular geometry, polar v. nonpolar bonds, intermolecular forces (dispersion, dipole-dipole, hydrogen bonding)
What are Cornell notes?
Cornell notes consist of 1 page separated into 3 sections. A left-hand column provides major ideas and essential questions, while the large right-hand section is for detailed notes. A third section is found at the bottom of the page for summarizing the notes.
Why should you use the Cornell note-taking method?
Cornell notes are organized and efficient. They help students easily pick out important ideas for any topic. They also make studying easier because students can use the left column of questions as a self-quiz.
